Role Overview

As a Graduate Investment Advisor, you will embark on a comprehensive training programme designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the investment advisory field. You will work closely with experienced advisors, gaining hands-on experience in client relationship management, investment analysis, and financial planning.

As this is both a client-facing role and one within a highly regulated sector, you will also be expected to develop a strong working knowledge of UK financial regulations—particularly those governed by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA). Compliance, professionalism, and ethical standards will be embedded into every aspect of your training and daily responsibilities.

Your journey will begin with an intensive induction period, introducing you to our company’s ethos, services, and the regulatory environment. Following this, you’ll engage in rotational placements across various departments, including portfolio management, research, and client services, providing you with a holistic understanding of our operations.

Throughout the programme, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of projects, contribute ideas, and develop your professional network. By the end of the programme, you’ll be well-prepared to take on the responsibilities of an Investment Advisor, managing your own client portfolio and providing strategic investment advice

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing investment strategies tailored to client objectives.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to inform investment recommendations.
  • Support senior advisors in client meetings and presentations.
  • Prepare investment reports and documentation for clients.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD): Commit to completing a minimum of CPD annually, with at least being structured learning, to maintain professional competence and adhere to industry standards.
