Full-time

Location: City ofLondon (with occasional travel to our Midlands head office) London

Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum + bonuses

About the Role

We’re offering an exceptional opportunity for a recent graduate to launch their career as a Graduate Financial Planner, supporting individuals and families in achieving long-term financial wellbeing. Based in London, you’ll be part of a growing regional team with direct links to our Midlands head office, where strategic training and development are centred.

This is not your average entry-level role. From day one, you’ll be learning how to advise clients on areas such as investments, pensions, inheritance, protection and retirement planning. Financial planning is both personal and technical—so a genuine passion for understanding people’s goals and aligning them with carefully structured financial strategies is essential.

As this is a client-facing role within a tightly regulated industry, a firm understanding of UK financial regulation—particularly the requirements set by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA)—will be critical. You’ll receive expert training in ethical advice standards, conduct rules, and suitability, all designed to help you become a trusted and compliant professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Financial Planners in delivering tailored financial strategies to clients across wealth, pensions, protection and investment areas
  • Participate in client meetings and develop your skills in building rapport, fact-finding, and needs assessment
  • Support the preparation of financial reports, recommendations, and documentation in line with FCA regulations
  • Learn to analyse investment portfolios and recommend changes based on client objectives and market trends
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records of all advice and interactions
  • Work across our London and Midlands offices to broaden your exposure to a variety of clients and planning scenarios

Who We’re Looking For

  • A 2:1 degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business or a numerate subject
  • A clear interest in personal finance, wealth management, and the UK financial advice sector
  • Strong interpersonal skills—you’ll be working closely with clients from all walks of life
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and an analytical mindset
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory frameworks is advantageous, and a willingness to deepen this understanding is essential
  • Must be committed to completing CPD hours and progressing towards qualifications such as the Diploma in Financial Planning

What We Offer

  • Weekly development sessions, compliance training, and mentoring with senior planners
  • Exposure to both individual and corporate client work across London and the Midlands
  • Hybrid working model (London base with occasional Midlands travel)
  • Annual bonus scheme, pension contribution, and private medical cover
  • A progressive pathway into becoming a fully authorised Financial Planner
